Our Products

We bake our own sourdough bread in house with four simple ingredients: filtered  mountain water, wheat flour, sea salt, and sourdough starter, locally known as “masa  madre”. This bread is used in a number of dishes we produce, and we’re proud of it.  We’ve roasted our own coffee since 2001 with fluid-bed roasters that may or may not  have been brought to Peru from Seattle in pieces and reassembled here. We’re proud  to buy organic beans direct from farmers in Peru. At Café Andino, we make our own  delicious, blended teas and matés with local and imported organic ingredients. Our  “shara-shara” blend is a well-known and loved mix of local healing herbs, created by a  local medicine woman, Señora Icha. The owners have been making their own Chai  blend for over 20 years, starting a movement of Chai appreciation in Huaraz that is  somewhat uncommon in Peru.
